I have supported SLE 11 at Walmart in 2008-2011 - I am retired. I have used Unix since 1973 (pdp11/30) and been through all the flavors (HPUX, MPRAS, AIX)
I first thought that it was hardware failure - it passed all Dell 7490 builtin diags and memtest overnight.
I have had 3 out of 13 Dell 7490 fail to be useable after a 15.2 to 15.3 upgrade. the other 10 are up and running - no scanner detected on one.
My main Laptop had to be reinstalled from my last 15.2 backup - the videos attached are that laptop - I restored it to another dell 7490 with the same results (number 3)
In the support forum - this was started - I have logged requests in that thread.

Any idea why this is happening - the 15.2 just runs with normal messages in journalctl - unable to see any 15.3
Here are 3 videos - one showing the 15.2 repos - one booting a 15.2 UEFI USB (green dot) and one showing exactly what happens when the 15.2 USB is updated to 15.3 and booted (red dot on USB drive)

Mailman does actually turn html only emails into plaintext emails (using lynx). In this case though, since it was base64 encoded it treated it as an attachment instead I believe. We aren't gonna embed html emails on the site, since that's just asking for trouble (I honestly have enough trouble with stuff like planet and what issues that causes). LCP [Sasi] https://lcp.world

Someone in a tumbleweed report had a similar issue and got this fix to get all the way up.
to the grub startup was added "i915.modeset=0" to get past the video crash (snow on my machine)
That does allow the machine to boot and stay up - any ideas as to why
Some of the 7490's have both nvidia and Intel graphics. That command would sideline the Intel card and allow the nvidia part to use the nouveau driver for graphics acceleration. The command 'lspci -nn' should show whether your problem box has this situation. Larry
