[opensuse-factory] Leap 15.0's GCC disrespecting pie/no-pie
Hi fellow openSuse people, I am trying to create a new CMake package [1] to get it updated in time for Leap 15.1. But I stumbled upon an issue with Leap 15.0 which blocks further steps. Leap 15.0. fails because of a new pie/no_pie test introduced by CMake 3.14. Yesterday I asked for help in the IRC and user krop did some tests and maybe he found a bug in Leap 15.0's GCC not respecting the pie arguments, cf. http://paste.opensuse.org/14067189 Can someone confirm this is a bug in Leap 15.0? Then I can exclude the test and wait for a fix. By the way, could someone be so kind and activate Leap 15.1 for devel:tools:building? Bye Christoph [1] home:mathletic:branches:devel:tools:building/cmake -- Unfortunately, plots are notoriously hard to get right. Partly, the default settings of programs like gnuplot or Excel are to blame for this since these programs make it very convenient to create bad plots. -- Till Tantau, "The TikZ and PGF Packages" -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
Hi Christoph, Christophe Giboudeaux (he was yesterday at night on IRC discussing this with you and me) found the following bug: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1096008 which addresses the exact issue. It looks like a fix is underway. Cheers, Dan Christoph Grüninger <foss@grueninger.de> writes:

After my tests from yesterday, I found https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/ show_bug.cgi?id=1096008. The fix exists but the updated package never reached SLE15 (and this directly affects the Leap package). Things started moving again this morning, the issue will hopefully be fixed soon.
