[opensuse-factory] mysql changes -- need testers
Hi, I've updated the mysql package [1] and changed the init script a bit (it uses the new mysql_upgrade command now [2]). I would appreciate if you could test it, esp. the update case. Atm the init script is quite verbose, this will probably change before 10.2. I've created a mysql-5.0.22 package in the buildservice, building for factory, 10.1 and 10.0 [3]. See http://software.opensuse.org/download/home:/michal-m:/mysql/ Important: Don't forget to _backup_ your /var/lib/mysql directory before testing! [1] http://lists.opensuse.org/archive/opensuse-commit/2006-Jun/0744.html [2] http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/mysql-upgrade.html [3] You will have problems with mysql-shared on 10.0 as the library is not binary compatible. I suggest manually updating just the mysql (plus mysql-Max if you use it) and mysql-client packages on 10.0. Thanks in advance!
