[opensuse-factory] No more bash-completion in Factory?
Hey, It looks like bash-completion was removed from Factory. Any reason for this? (my life is not as good as it used to be without completion for make, ssh and rpm) Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

A likely reason is because bash-completion is a total maintenance nightmare, the rules were never really working well, and they were causing endless bug reports. I keep hearing that other shells do a much better job than bash for completion. Maybe we can take some of those ideas and improve bash completion so that we can solve the problem once and for all instead of continuing to struggle with an inappropriate mechanism? Try removing the package, and reinstalling it. Except if you depend on bash-completion ;-) Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
