[opensuse-factory] OSOC: plymouth for kiwi

Hi, I just started a little project: the openSUSE Spring of Code. It has many advantages over similiar projects, most prominently it's all about honor and you don't have to care how to pay taxes on money. And my first task to offer to the first promising candidate: plymouth integration into kiwi (and installation-images). plymouth is integrated into mkinitrd by now, but we have 2 other initrds that are worthy: one is most likely easy: installation-images builds a pretty hard coded list of files and packages to include and plymouth needs to replace bootchart in there. Very similiar work to mkinitrd. kiwi is a bit harder as it allows custom branding (e.g. for studio integration) and as such builds bootsplash branding itself depending on the branding, so plymouth integration is a bit more work. Whoever picks the task: make sure to talk to snwint@ and ms@suse.com Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

[.........] Oh, it's so great to have someone here with a great sense of humour :-) . "I just started a little project: the openSUSE Spring of Code." F-u-n-n-y :-D . LIVE discs won't build and oS 12.2 Beta is having problems but there is a new project started :-) . A sense of humour is, as I have always known, a great asset. Hey Basil,
Tone down, Stephan's OSOC is totally unrelated to factory not working
properly. So if you can do something to get a better factory do it,
else stop bickering.

Sheesh. So-rreeeee. Stephan is always so serious and "in control"-sounding that, after he even had an earlier post with a smiley at the end, I thought he was displaying a sense of humour. So sorry I misinterpreted things and that what he wrote was more of his normal serious stuff. No offense was intended. Not as fun as watching an angry mob wielding torches and pitch forks chasing you :)

Playing the Jester wont get it done, so bring out those submission requestes Basil... I'll personally review them with Stephan's blessing. Just don't make me wait too much.

Not as good as a pitch fork and a torch.

Wait until you try ketamine... but you need a vet for it and not a psychiatrist :)
HAHAHA.....Love it :-D .
And this guffaw has done me 'a power of good' I have to admit.
