I've just started an installation of 11.3 from there, works fine. Might it be a mirrorbrain problem - that you're being pointed to a bad mirror? Maybe try this mirror:

http://mirror.switch.ch/ftp/mirror/opensuse/distribution/11.1/repo/oss/

I am sorry for this, but while checking, i found out that the networkcable was not completely plugged in....now it finds the addresses perfectly...

Is it hard to insert a message into the installer to 'feel' if a networkcable is not plugged in?
