[opensuse-factory] dhcp: nameserver not being set in /etc/resolv.conf ?
I'm not totally certain, but I don't remember having disabled this. I'm installing Factory on a couple of systems and although /etc/resolv.conf is created, 'nameserver' is not set. There used to be a DHCLIENT_MODIFY_RESOLV_CONF variable in /etc/sysconfig/network/dhcp, but it seems have moved or disappeared. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (6.0°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

netconfig or NetworkManager? Here with openSUSE 12.1 RC 1 and netconfig with a bridged device it works as expected. DHCLIENT_MODIFY_RESOLV_CONF isn't longer used. Even openSUSE 11.4 doesn't make use of it. Please file a bug report if you believe this needs better documentation. Uh, not Networkmanager, so netconfig.

I'm on Factory. I only get the 'search' entry, 'nameserver' is missing.

Okay, do you know what I should look at instead? -- Per Jessen, Zürich (6.8°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Problem fixed - I upgraded to the latest sysconfig package. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (6.9°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
