[opensuse-factory] Problems with 12.3RC1,/Gnome/Radeon HD 6450 screen-background
I see a strange behaviour which I have seen lot's of times with Gnome 3.6 versions on opensuse 12.2; I didn't see the problems with beta1, but now they are back again. The thing is: The screen background is displayed correctly until the gnome menu appears on the top. In this moment the background gets completely scrumbled, you may have a look on the attached image, where you can see the left upper corner's menu and background (which should be opensuse's image of a leaf?). Additionally the text in the menu is somehow weird. All the application-windows do not have any problems. Does someone have an idea, how to fix that issue? Best regards, Johannes -- Johannes Weberhofer Weberhofer GmbH, Austria, Vienna

No solution but I also have graphics problem with Radeon and RC1, though this is with a sideways shift of the display. Johannes, this is in a virtual environment with the Cirrus driver or on a physical box? Dominique -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

And the answer, of course, was in the subject: Radeon HD is unlikely to be a virtual platform :) Hence, at this moment, I'm not sure what is going on... Dominique -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
Dominique, I see the same behavior on my second workplace which identifies it's graphic card as "Radeon HD 5450/6350" Johannes Am 11.02.2013 11:13, schrieb Dominique Leuenberger a.k.a. Dimstar:

I've not included any additional repos, therefore I'm using the driver provided with the default installation. Same here for my problems. Looks like default driver is broken. -- Graham Davis, Bracknell, Berks. openSUSE 12.3-RC1 (64-bit); KDE 4.10.00; AMD Phenom II X2 550 Processor; Video: nVidia GeForce 210 (using nouveau driver); Sound: ATI SBx00 Azalia (Intel HDA); Wireless: BCM4306 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
