I used to be able to group/stack icons of open apps on the taskbar, but cannot find the place to select this option. Is it still possible, or not implemented yet?
ie: three instances of firefox would be one icon on the taskbar which would popup three icons to allow individual selection.
tks,

Right click taskbar -> Taskbar Settings is not what you're looking for?
.. of course that requires some empty space in the taskbar, or some high precision right-clicking between tasks.

Yes, and that it does :^)
Guess I missed the "2 rows" parameter, cause I had it working and then it magically changed.... But now is fine.
tks,

tks,
It does that occasionally, so it's something to remember. KDE4 has steadily got quirkier and quirkier so I have switched back to KDE 3.5.10 on the boxes where it's a big problem. Going back to 3.5.10 I've noticed how much speedier things are than under KDE4. Regards Sid.

I can live with the quirks as long as it doesn't stop me from doing the basics. I am having, I believe, a php5 problem with my web server, thou.

Now that's odd, I see the opposite. Even the plasma-desktop crashes recover quickly, sometimes just a few seconds on my three-year-old desktop.
I also see that text selection with the mouse is iffy, sometimes works and other times requires reselecting and sometimes multiple times.
Also, the changelog updates provided lately are quite informing :^(
example:
rpm -q --changelog conky
