GTK1 is completely obsolete and just that is enough to reject this package. -- "A computer is like an Old Testament god, with a lot of rules and no mercy. " Cristian Rodríguez R. Platform/OpenSUSE - Core Services SUSE LINUX Products GmbH Research & Development http://www.opensuse.org/

putty is a very handy tool when dealing with embedded hardware. I myself use it to access embedded devices with redboot bootloader over telnet. The advantage of putty over openssh in that context is.. it automatically CTRL ^C the boot process - this is a big challenge with openssh! Just to provide a definite usecase! Best, Rupert

putty is a very handy tool when dealing with embedded hardware. I myself use it to access embedded devices with redboot bootloader over telnet. The advantage of putty over openssh in that context is.. it automatically CTRL ^C the boot process - this is a big challenge with openssh! With builtin telnet of course - sorry, my fault!
Just to provide a definite usecase!

+1, let's please not have the hassle of depending on GTK1. And, yes, once a GTK2 based release is available, we'll re-evaluate. cheers - -- -o) Pascal Bleser <pascal.bleser@opensuse.org> /\\ http://opensuse.org -- I took the green pill _\_v FOSDEM::23+24 Feb 2008, Brussels, http://fosdem.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFIv38or3NMWliFcXcRAnlzAJ4wnqeoGonQGhiedyDVDTRFaU/61ACffX5d YGHizvUo7I90pr198JVoOMM= =eG3B -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
