[opensuse-factory] Autorunning software on openSUSE CD/DVD
Hi, In GNOME, we have a patch that checks if a mounted media contains an executable setup.sh file or a media.1/patches directory. If this is the case, setup.sh is launched as root in the first case and "yast2 online_update .cd_default" is run in the second case. I guess this feature is used to automatically launch an install/upgrade when an openSUSE CD/DVD is inserted. There might be other uses, but I'm not aware of any. I'd like to change our CD/DVD to also have an executable script called autorun, autorun or autorun.sh which would automatically do the right thing (ie, detect the desktop environment and run the right command). Those filenames are standardized in the freedesktop.org autostart specification [1]. What is the right place to add those files? Thanks, Vincent [1] http://specifications.freedesktop.org/autostart-spec/autostart-spec-latest.h... -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
