[opensuse-factory] Mixing DVD and FTP repositories
Hi, to speed up the update from openSUSE 11.2-RC1 to 11.2-RC2 a bit, I downloaded the 11.2-RC2 DVD via Bittorrent. I added the 11.2-RC2 DVD in YaST as a software repository. Because I use a lot of software which is not part of the DVD I also enabled the openSUSE main repositories (OSS+Non-OSS, "Haupt-Repository" in German). Now the list of software repositories looks like this: │Priority │Enabled│Autorefresh│Name │Service│URL │ │ 99 (Default)│ x │ x │Packman repository (11.2) │ │http://f│ │ 99 (Default)│ x │ x │Haupt-Repository (NON-OSS)│ │http://d│ │ 99 (Default)│ │ x │openSUSE 11.2-0 │ │http://d│ │ 99 (Default)│ x │ │openSUSE 11.2-0 │ │iso:///?│ │100 │ x │ x │openSUSE-11.2-Update │ │http://d│ The problem is, that "zypper dist-upgrade" does not install any package from the ISO DVD image. All packages were downloaded via HTTP. For instance opensuse-manuals_de-11.2-2.2.noarch.rpm is part of the DVD image. But zypper downloads it via HTTP. Changing the priorities (for instance from 99 to 100 for the ISO DVD image) did not help. How could I prioritize the local DVD image? I believe the 'lower' the priority value of a repo, the greater its priority. Try assigning a lower number (say 20) for the DVD source and see if it works. -- Atri -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
