I've seen something odd with shutdowns and hibernations blocked as "another" user was logged in, typically I've forgotten that there's a root login on a VT. This was also under Leap 42.1 and I never got around to tracking down the real culprit.

I suspected a bit of a race condition as the powermanagement setting for critical battery was to initiate a hibernate but the policy blocked that so the laptop died ungracefully when it finally ran out of charge. The reason I'd forgotten about the VT login was having to kill kscreenlock after coming out of suspend/hibernate as it just showed a blank screen rather than the unlock prompt. It happened a few times and all seemed a bit of rat-hole. As there were a bunch of updates pending and hope springs eternal I never investigated fully.

Daniel I've not used suspend/hibernate as i primarily use a desktop. There are some strange software installation decisions that happen because of some dependencies e.g. I don;t have any bluetooth kit on my machine but it insists on installing bluez stuff so anything could have caused the 3 days failure to
