[opensuse-factory] [rfc] Updating gwenhywfar/aqbanking
Hey, A while ago, Dominique worked on updating gwenhywfar and aqbanking to new upstream versions. It was blocked for a while because it required an update to a development version of gnucash, and it also required a new libchipcard. I think we're now ready to do this. So, unless someone shouts loud, in the very next few days we will: + push gwenhywfar 4.0.x, aqbanking 5.0.x, gnucash 2.3.x (rc of 2.4) to Factory + drop libchipcard 4, since it probably won't work with gwenhywfar 4 (libchipcard 5 is already in factory, but waiting for gwenhywfar 4) As far as I can tell, this won't break anything in Factory, so I plan to do that before the week-end, so we can hopefully get this in the next milestone. I just realized that gnucash 2.3.x has an optional sqlite-based backend, that requires libdbi. Any objection against pushing libdbi from Contrib to Factory? It's not blocking the gnucash update since the default is still the xml backend anyway, but I guess we'll need it in the future. I thought that someone already wanted to push libdbi to factory a while back, jfyi here's the last message in the thread. On Tue, Nov 09, 2010 at 04:16:24PM +0100, Peter Czanik wrote: libdbi-drivers. Both programmers can

And libdbi-drivers provides the actual drivers for different databases (sqlite3, mysql, pgsql).
Both packages were around for a very long time and worked without any problems so far.
I tested it with syslog-ng and logging to database worked fine using libdbi and libdbi-drivers.
Bye,
Please let me know when it's in factory and we can kill the contrib project. It was originally created for bacula.
It's Philipp Thomas, who actually sent the submit request, so I don't get an immediate alert message, when it's in factory. I checked now the openSUSE commit list, and I still could not find a trace of libdbi. My sr against apparmor-profiles is also still waiting. I hope everything is all right with these submit requests, just things slowed down due to the coming milestone... Foremost, there were no .changes files.
Create some with "osc vc" and resubmit. I mailed peter nixon (who submitted from the devel project) and philipp, but forgot you. Second, it will take a bit to pass source code license review. Not sure how long, perhaps a week or so. Ciao, Marcus - I'm also a maintainer, Peter's MIA at the moment.
