Build Service cut over 2023-08-24 16:00 UTC
Hi All, TL;DR: starting 2023-08-24 16:00 UTC the buildservice instances will be down for moving to a new data center. We will announce when they are back up. The long version: The migration to the new data center will start Thursday 2023-08-24 at 16:00 UTC with a shutdown of the all service. This will be followed by the sync of the remaining file changes to the new data center. On Friday morning we will start with bringing up services again. As soon as all services are up and running again we will inform you. This will also impact registry.opensuse.org. This means you will be unable to pull registry.opensuse.org/opensuse/tumbleweed, leap, toolboxes and other images. Various CI systems making use of those images will fail if they don't use a cached version. I asked whether it would be possible to set up a temporary server to provide at least the most commonly downloaded images, but apparently it is not. The latest Tumbleweed and Leap base containers can also be downloaded from https://hub.docker.com/r/opensuse/tumbleweed resp. https://hub.docker.com/r/opensuse/leap. This is subject to the usual pull rate limits though. Thanks, Fabian
