[opensuse-factory] apparmor
Hello, I sent a sr for apparmor-profiles almost two weeks ago. 10 days later it was declined, as apparmor-profiles is becoming part of the base apparmor package ( https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/52227 ). I ported my patch from apparmor-profiles to the apparmor package and created another sr ( https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/53065 ). Could this be accepted before the Milestone 4 deadlines? As without the AppArmor profile fix I can't submit my syslog-ng 3.2 package... Only Jeff seems to be an active maintainer for it (coolo does not count ;). I am ccing him. Ciao, Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
The initial delay was due to travel. Sorry about that. The updated sr will be included but I have a massive build change patch I wanted to finalize and push upstream before I pull in more patches. -Jeff -- Jeff Mahoney On Nov 17, 2010, at 2:52 AM, Marcus Meissner <meissner@suse.de> wrote:

This affects any other distros, which will package syslog-ng 3.2, so could also be sent upstream. Jeff: once I submitted syslog-ng 3.2, could you help me with some related AppArmor debugging? I read the docs, asked here, but could not solve to run external applications from within syslog-ng. The base syslog-ng.conf does not require it, but advanced features, like program() sources and destinations need it. It would be nice to have some sample AppArmor rules in sbin.syslog-ng or in release notes for enabling external applications, instead of suggesting to turn off AppArmor if more than just the basic syslog-ng.conf is needed...
