Hello all,
I just installed plymouth and gfx boot. All I see is a copy of the green wallpaper as part of plymouth for a number of seconds and switches to black.
Isn't plymouth supposed to have some animation?

Considering that until Friday, there was no plymouth branding AT ALL that worked (see http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-artwork/2014-10/msg00033.html ) It's a good step forward.
And sadly enough, if nobody comes up with a better thing, this is what we'll be having.
The current scripts simply fades in from black to the 'final' default wallpaper.
Cheers, Dominique

Perhaps that's the new branding -- "back to the roots, 80x25(+vesafb enlargement)" :-)

Perhaps. They can start earlier next year with a fresh approach with 13.3.
Cheers!

I'm thinking about it. I must read up on how to create it.
