Considering that until Friday, there was no plymouth branding AT ALL that worked (see http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-artwork/2014-10/msg00033.html ) It's a good step forward.
Perhaps that's the new branding -- "back to the roots, 80x25(+vesafb enlargement)" :-)
