TW 20240329 zypper issue

Updated to TW 20240329 today ( from 20240319 ). Everything went fine but one strange zypper issue. zypper lu as a regular user says all the repos are out of date and to run 'zypper refresh' as root to update it. Problem is they are not out of date as running zypper refresh as root says the are all up to date, but then if you run zypper lu again as a standard user it says they are out of date again. -- Regards, Joe

I posted about this "repo" erroring out this morning on the forum and got a "It's being handled and will take a few hours to sync into the system, try again in a few hours." as the answer??

I updated several systems yesterday and there were LOTS of timeouts from dowload.opensuse.org. At one point it took 4 hours to do what normally takes about 15 minutes. A update later in the day was much better, but the problem I am talking about is not about downloading it is the fact that when zypper is run by a regular user it things the repos are out of date, whereas when root runs it they are not. -- Regards, Joe

Tried doing the following as root zypper clean --all zypper refresh --force both of which complete successfully but now if you try to do zypper lu as a regular user, in addition to the out of date messages I also get the following messages about "Can't create metadata cache directory." Loading repository data... Retrieving repository 'google-chrome' data... Error retrieving metadata for 'google-chrome': Can't create metadata cache directory. Problem loading data from 'google-chrome' Warning: Repository 'google-chrome' could not be refreshed. Using old cache. Retrieving repository 'openSUSE-Tumbleweed-Non-Oss (20240329)' data... Known bug in zypper: https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1222086 Completely unrelated to infrastructure issues. Cheers, Fabian
