[opensuse-factory] vagrant and virtualbox compatibility
Hi, I wanted to play a bit with vagrant and currently it's not possible on Tumbleweed. Vagrant 1.8.1 (currently available in TW) is not compatible with virtualbox 5.1. Support was added in version 1.8.5 [1]. This version is available in Virtualization repository. Is there any reason, why it's not submitted to Tumbleweed? The project was submitted to Factory 9 days ago with request https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/428970, which was declined. I'm not sure why, but there is a review by legal in progress. Their queue is quite long. Larry -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

The reason, according to the factory-auto comment, is that the changes file does not mention the removed patches. For example: "A Patch (0005-Read-data-from-usr-share-vagrant.patch) is being deleted without this removal being referenced in the changelog" -- markos SUSE LINUX GmbH | GF: Felix Imendörffer, Jane Smithard, Graham Norton HRB 21284 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, D-90409, Nürnberg -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

If you scroll down on https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/428970 you'll see why it was declined by factory-auto - lots of patches were deleted and added (I'd guess renamed) without mentioning all patch filenames in the .changes file. It's probably a good idea not to rename tons of patches if you want to keep the .changes and the package diff readable ;-)
but there is a review by legal in progress. Their queue is quite long.
At least SR 428970 doesn't indicate anything about that, besides the usual open review for legal-auto (which was probably just slower than factory-auto ;-) Regards, Christian Boltz --
