[opensuse-factory] Milestone 6 observations
Hi, Milestone 6 is installed. I have discovered the following: - during installation, although set to german the release notes are shown in english - dolphin: on left is this "Orte" window. When I add a new entry there I can not change the icon. Although I'm allowed to choose, my choice is simply ignored. - dolphin: same place. While choosing to see this new entry not only in dolphin, I can not see it later in ktorrents file dialog (I didn't check this in other programs) - Firefox doesn't know about the *.torrent files, I have to tell him myself where to find the ktorrent application (by the way: what is the difference between /usr/bin/ktorrent and /usr/bin/X11/ktorrent?) - firefox: flashplayer is not working - ktorrent: I maximise the window. Then by click on the systray icon I make it disapear. When I click again to see the window it is resized and doesn't show up maximised as it should - ktorrent: UPnP doesn't work. It doesn't show the routers in my network as does ktorrent UPnP on my KDE3 - kicker (or what was named kicker before :-) ): on the right side are two small icons for closing the session and lock the desktop. before I had two nice icons there, now it's the same "terminal" icon for both. Normal? - double click: In the KDE system settings and in the filebrowser of ktorrent (I didn't test more than that :-) ) I need double clicks to navigate although system settings are set to single click This may be linked to the plastic style. When I started to configure KDE I had single click, and then one moment it changed to double click... - From the main menu the "install software" is not functional - A bug in Yast2 which is quite old... I have two DVD drives. If I have a DVD in the first one and the SuSE DVD in the second one, YaST doesn't detect the install media for software install. I have to take the other DVD out to make it work - miniprogram "Wörterbuch" dictionary. It's a nice feature, but I can not change the settings for the languages I want. It defaults to english/german - I don't find the configuration of the kicker (is it still called kicker under KDE4?) If any further information is needed, then please ask me. The same if a bug report should be filed, please tell me. I'm helping with the testing for the first time and therefore am not sure about what is worth a bug report and what not :-) Thanks Karl -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

So, your language is set to German, but the license is in English? That's odd, there is a bug in which the language is set to English but the license is in German. -- Kevin "Yeaux" Dupuy openSUSE Project Member www.twitter.com/KevinDupuy -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I have the exact opposite of that... Language s set to English, but Release notes are displayed in German. English is not an option in the available languages dropdown either. I noticed this in the license accept window in the repo manager as well... English install, but all license agreements are shown in German. The only relation to this I can think of is that I set my location as Germany.... but I specified an English install using an English keyboard... so... Yes, that's for the licence, but I'm not talking about the licence, I talk about the release notes, which you can view while the packages are being installed. Right off the DVD on openSuSE 11.2 M6 in the set to English version the License came up in German text.
