do you have the openSUSE Tumbleweed update channel enabled? Where are your libqt5-qtbase packages coming from? as a sample:
zypper se -i libQt5Core5 rpm -q --qf "%{name}-%{version}-%{release} ${DISTURL}\n" libQt5Core5
Thanks Dominique

guessing, you are rebooting after a new snapshot when you still have a corrupted cache. do the cache removal prior to rebooting and maybe it will persist. I have not experienced the cache problem again. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
hi Patrick, yes, I rebooted without cache removal, because I didn't expect it. I removed cache many times before, but didn't know that it's needed every kernel update. thanks, m. On piatok, 16. februára 2018 14:34:55 CET Patrick Shanahan wrote:

I never do it. Once I had to remove ~/.cache as I had only black screen and cursor (no Plasma). Otherwise I haven't experienced any problem. -- Vojtěch Zeisek https://trapa.cz/

no, it should not be. once you have cleared the cache and have the proper files installed from the update, the cache should not get corrupted again. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Do you have Intel or AMD hardware? A separate Qt bug caused the same effect as the first bug found in Mesa every time Mesa was updated. A patched Qt was made available in the mean time, so now it should be all good.
