Effectively we only have a very small number of people that end up doing the release work but maybe this is a sufficient enough disruption to motivate other people to do something else, maybe openSUSE_FB_1 (openSUSE Factory Based).
I still don't get how this SLE base system is solving the "not enough people involved in release engineering" problem.
It doesn't and it also does not solve some of the other problems we have, IMHO, as was pointed out during one of the general sessions at oSC15. A SLE source based openSUSE release is something else to build, another approach to create a distribution. In how far this approach may or may not be interesting is, IMHO, the basis for this discussion. My point is that if those few that get the distribution out the door today decide to no longer care for a Factory snapshot based distribution release, then maybe another team will form that will pick this back up. We just have to see how this develops.
