Do you have free space on disk(s)? You need really less than 100K and ther is no problem to add extra partition with GPT ...
I do but I would prefer to avoid touching the partitions used for MD and if I reduce the size of sda5/sdb5, the new partition would be beyond even 2TB boundary and I'm not sure the bootloader (or BIOS) will be able to handle that. And I assume creating /boot as an LVM logical volume does not help much either.
