The discussion in the large room was quite lively and -- at least that's what I have taken from it -- the "addon repos are the root of all evil" opinion was not shared by many, while the more liberal "rather have some well maintained addon repository with maintainers doing their job but not willing to bother submitting everything to factory than not having those packages at all" was widely accepted.
