there's been rumors and confusion about ALP raising the x86_64 architecture level to v3 which requires CPUs with AVX2 support and how this will affect openSUSE Factory. I assume the other distros are most likely Fedora, Ubuntu and Arch?
To the best of my knowledge, no community distribution has elected to move to a higher level yet. It has been brought up a few times in Fedora and Arch, but as far as I know, the change hasn't happened yet in a way that eliminates x86_64-v1 in these distributions. -- 真実はいつも一つ!/ Always, there's only one truth!
