What pkg would go into such prj, what would be in its repo list? The question from Henne was not answered yet.
IMO the worst thing about such big contrib repo is that if you only want to update one single package then it might need to update many other updated dependencies too. So this one package update may have many side effects. That's why I think users should maintain their own "contrib" projects like I have my personal "home:rudi_m:musthave". This gets usually bigger and bigger during distro lifetime. After a distro upgrade I can remove most packages again. But it would be nice to make it more easy to simply link certain packages from devel projects to my home project. Spec files in devel projects should be as portable as possible. The enabled repos should be the same for each devel project and they should include even the old but still supported distros (inclusive evergreen). A good example is the "utilities" devel project. Most of it's packages build without problems if you link it to your home project. cu, Rudi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
