Would it be too much to ask for a minor consistency of if the util is located on /sbin or /bin, that it's libraries be located in /lib64? [...] I'm talking /bin and /sbin being able to resolve ../lib64 for their libraries, whether at either "/{,usr}". Indeed, some non-essential programs may depend on paths like "/someprefix/a/../b" to resolve to the same directory as "/someprefix/b" (which may break if "a" is a symlink introducing slashes). This can either be addressed by making sure all those paths resolve to the same endpoint (like /bin/../lib and /lib on Fedora), or by using bind mounts instead of symlinks (if you have the permission). But the installation media already works provided you pick the right one ;) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
