Anyone done a clean install of 11.1 beta 3? Any issues to report?
Clean install went fine. Only thing, i tryed to add Thunderbird to packages, that make Yast crash. But with default packages, everything went fine.
Don't use the standard Search in Software Management to find and add an application which you need - this causes YaST to come up with an (Segmentation) error message (and "crash").
Use the Package Filter or Patterns under the Filter option and then go looking for the package you want - select it and YaST will install it. (Or else use "zypper install
from the command line as root to install the package.) Ciao.
Well, I did a clean install yesterday, and thus far I've found: 1) Using KDE 3.5, if I attempt to do much of anything with kicker (move applets, access 'resize panel' dialog, etc), X crashes :-( 2) Can't get 'su' to work. When I type 'su' at a console to switch to root, it just hangs. I can do things with sudo, though Anyone else seeing this? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
