Same for a CDROM drive (disabled in BIOS). However, that point is moot anyway since even without a bootable usb port you can use a USB stick to start openSUSE. See http://seife.kernalert.de/blog/2009/11/24/usb-boot-enabler/ So all openSUSE would have to do – if it really wants to consider those with neither DVD, nor bootable USB port – is to provide an image to do this or integrate it into the netinstall.
