what kind of box? is it a ethernet one or an USB?
for ethernet there is no config needed else the network one. For USB I don't know :-(

When you have ethernet, but connect configuring a dsl ( for example with bridge, usb, etc ) you need those package So yeap they should be pre-installed. In fact the only thing that's wrong is installing a openSUSE on a ethernet connexion then move that box. without dvd source, or a way to install missing package for dsl
If the install is made with configuring the dsl connexion, the package are installed
Now I see the files on the dvd and: the kinternet package is not present, the linux-atm-lib package is not present, the qinternet package is present, the smpppd package is present. I do'nt know how You configures the dsl connexion, if one of the needed packages is not present on the dvd, and Yast do'nt saves the dsl configuration, because that. This is for the case when I must to make the login from the box. If the login is made by the dsl modem router, is no need to configure the dsl connection.
