I think that the upstream still discuss the Kexec/Kdump with Secure boot.
kexec / kdump works just fine with UEFI secure boot. I've got it working and had no issues with it operating properly. The "issue" is that some people want to restrict kexec / kdump when secure boot is enabled, but that's a totally different topic :)
