Is anyone interested in maintaining smpppd? My personal usecase is gone so I have no use for smpppd anymore. If no one steps up I'll request dropping it from Factory.
I believe there are still people using modems, but I doubt they read here.
I'm pretty sure smppd is also used for PPPoE, e.g. for use with DSL lines. So it's not just for old style analog modems.
I'm not sure if it is used to connect via GSM (& etc) modems. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 12.3 x86_64 "Dartmouth" at Telcontar)
