Hi list,
I have a short question: Is it possible to configure Apper so that it can be used correctly with Tumbleweed?
Background: Updates in Tumbleweed should be executed with "zypper dup" but what Apper usually does is a normal package update without changing repos if needed (please tell me if I'm wrong). If this is really the case, would it be possible to deliver some kind of modiified Apper version or configuration in the TW repositories so that Apper also does a "zypper dup" here?
Thanks and best regards Steffen Support questions are more for the opensuse@opensuse.org list. Updates in Tumbleweed should be done as usual. Dup is only for the distribution upgrade, not for standard updates. You use 'dup' when for example going from 11.4 to 12.1 or Tumbleweed. After that one operation of upgrading your distribution, you use normal updates. The default behavior of Apper should be fine. Be sure to check the more recent documentation concerning the way Tumbleweed is being handled post 12.1 for more details. -- Roger Luedecke openSUSE Ambassador Ind.
