You have to do that while in VT-1. Where you there? If not, type [ctrl][alt][F1] - press those 3 keys simultaneously, and release when it jumps.
You have to do what I tell you, not other. If you do other things we waste time.
Yes, i was there, because i know how it works: ctrl+alt+F1 > init 3, with other user desktop still active, ctrl+alt+F7>return to other users desktop.
While in tty, i became root, than i ran 'init 3' as you suggested. After i ran "init 3" the complete terminal dissappeared, and all that was left was a horizontal blinking dash.
You can thank systemd for this. Once you have control back, you can 'zypper in sysvinit-init' and reboot to make the ttys behave as they used to. TTY1, TTY2, TTY3, TTY4, TTY5 & TTY6 should be equivalent. Did you also try Ctrl-Alt-F2, Ctrl-Alt-F3, Ctrl-Alt-F4, Ctrl-Alt-F5 and Ctrl-Alt-F6 to try to find a login prompt? I almost never login on tty1 myself. I leave the boot messages there for easy reference unless I've already used all other ttys and need another. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
