if installed the openSuSE10.2 RC1 to checkout the current status of belgium-eID support.
during test i found following problems :
- problems with ACR38 pcsc driver searching in /proc/bus/usb , this seems to be fix in a update at the factory package => pcsc-acr38-100705_Ppcsc-acr38-100705_P-37-37 will this go into the OpenSuSE 10.2 GM ?
Definitely not 10.2 GM, as it's... GM ;) 10.2 is released now, it cannot be changed. But an online update would make sense, I guess. (I'm not working for Novell, just suggesting here, I can't decide/influence on that matter)

- the eID-belgium tools don't work because there looking for /usr/lib/libpcsclite.so which doesn't exist , only libpcsclite.so.1 and libpcsclite.so.1.0.0.0 , fixed this by adding addional symlink => reported as Bug 225652
Looking for a .so is a bug in the first place. The libpcsclite.so should have the SONAME libpcsclite.so.1 -- that way, when the tools are linked (at compile time) against libpcsclite.so, the library dependency stored in the binaries is libpcsclite.so.1 (and not libpcsclite.so)
So the right fix shouldn't be a symlink, but the right SONAME in libpcsclite.so.1.* i noticed that there is no libpcsclite.la file so the eid-Belgium tools will never find the correct libraries
