Yes, it had. I think it's called "escalation" :) I decided to update all MATE packages to version 1.23.x, some of them include already a fix for the xxf86 issue... https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/717522 I can't do more at the moment then waiting for the maintainers to review this change. Hopefully they will do it in time... I would have stepped up earlier, but I didn't noticed because I have MATE alreadyinstalled.
