I have been having similar problems, kaffeine works with my DVB card, sound also works with my Software Defined radio (SDR) where output is specified to go to hw:0 as does "cat /jet.wav > /dev/dsp", but flashplayer of a .flv file or trying to play flash in firefox - silence. Problem arose after a zypper dup just a few days before Milestone 1.
