You do not need that with pine, because pine can render basic HTML, which so much superior, I hear ;)
Superior to what? Yes, HTML is superior at transporting viruses and malware onto your computer or causing other inappropriate actions to occur. That's aside from the 400-500% bloat factor which makes downloading it very SLOW if you're in an area that doesn't have/can't afford broadband not to mention the excess storage space requirements. Consider a typical mail list which might receive in excess of 500-1000 messages per day, many of which will need to be moderated or outright rejected due to size. And if you're the one having to pay to download those bloated files due to ISP bandwidth restrictions can you afford it??
