Either way, MP3 playback is pretty much essential IMHO to most people, including myself, so it's a good idea to see what at all we can do to make sure we provide this service to our users, even if it means only offering MP3 playback to those who purchase a copy of openSUSE (to cover a possible license fee).
Personally I don't see it as a very big problem. Sure, mp3 playback is critical to most desktop users, but who can get by with _only_ mp3 (and free codecs)? ... so pretty much all users need to get codecs from packman or similar places regardless of fluendo being included or not. If you take the legal issues in some countries seriously, I guess RealPlayer 11 is your best option - should support mp3 and windows media at least afaik. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
