Apparently the enabling/disabling of the external monitors sometimes lead to the KDE/Plasmashell panel crashing or disappearing.
Another thing I noticed on only one of my laptops (both running Tumbleweed and should have a "similar" plasmaworkspace configuration): I have two external monitors connected to a docking station, so it is MonitorA-MonitorB-LaptopScreen from left to right. In the plasma display settings the monitors are shown in the correct order, clicking identify also brings up the correct serial numbers on each screen. However, to have the plasmashell panel on the center screen, I need to select the left one as primary. New windows will then be opened on the left screen, but the panel is on the middle one. WTF? Anyone aware of this? Any hints where I could start digging? Not sure why only one use on one laptop has this funny behaviour. And of course I could just start with a new profile, but that would mean getting all of the settings back again, and I want to avoid that... :-) (I had a quick look into bugzilla, but either there is no bug or I missed it due to the wrong search terms...)
