Even grub in 10.3 supports mounting by label. I tried yesterday:

ISTR the YaST installer puts all kernel parameters used during installation on the kernel lines in menu.lst, but does anyone know if hwprobe=-modules.pata has any meaning or relevance to anything other than the YaST installer? -- " Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.
