Sorry that's utter bullshit dogma. "I don't like it" it is not technical criticism, and personal attacks against one developer discredits your point completely.
I can contribute some technical criticism: systemd is unreliable!
After updating two of my machines to 12.1, I noticed that the systems sometimes come up with the network down (only loopback interface is up). Entering "rcnetwork restart" as root only yields the output "redirecting to systemd", but the network still is down. Since my children do not have the root password on their machine, they simply would power cycle the machine so often until the network finally works.
Some colleagues attributed my problems to the fact that I'm using static addresses and not dhcp. But nobody has an idea what the real problem is, nobody can give me a hint how to debug it.
I consider a system that comes up correctly only with a probability of around 70% as utterly broken.
Of course I filed a bug report weeks ago, but nobody seems to have an idea.
What's the bugzilla number?
Finally I dropped systemd and replaced it by sysvinit-init and all my problems are gone.
Glad that you found the culprit - so let's fix it. ;)
