You can not install that update during the installation because network does not work during installation, either.
When you install a system with a wired Ethernet connection, the network works during installation, even during the second phase. It is only after the second phase, when you can log in or have logged in for the first time, that the network does not work if that update has not been applied. But a reboot cures that problem. I can't remember what the situation was when installing on my laptop without a wired connection. But anyway after installation and a reboot I could configure a working WiFi connection, so after that new repos could be added and all updates could be applied. -- fr.gr.
