Listmates,
I updated to Beta 2 and after the update "basket notepads" for Beta 2 is nowhere to be found. I haven't added or removed any repositories and.. it was certainly there for Beta 1. (I wrote bugs against it at kde.org) So what happened to it in Beta2?
I have searched the repositories and it is just ... gone. Any ideas?
BasKet has never been part of the KDE4 Factory or Unstable Desktop repositories. For a short moment it was in KDE:KDE4:Community repo, but after creating of the Playground repo, it was moved there as that there is no official release of BasKet for KDE4. All we have at the moment are svn snapshots.
They are working and seem not to cause any big disturbances, but still no official package as you can also read on the website http://basket.kde.org
I do not know which version of openSUSE you are running, but if you add the repository : http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Playground/openSUSE_XX.... (Where XX.X is either 11.1, 11.0, 10.3 or Factory.), you will find the basket package.

Raymond, Looks like the atavistic kde4 svn basket is back in the repos. Color scheme handling is better, still no expand/collapse markers and editing a single line entry is very 'squished' due to the over-large border put around the basket entries when they are 'edit' mode. KDE3 basket still works perfect in kde43, so I guess it is just a plasma screw-up with plasma trying to apply the oxygen/etc. plasma theme to the individual entries in edit mode that is mucking things up. I guess the kde3 version just ignores the plasma stuff so it still works fine. The version now in the kde4 repos is: basket-1.0svn20090618-1.3 -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
