Running 32 bit, only 32 bit and noarch packages are returned by zypper se -s output. Running 64 bit, both arches and noarch are returned, making output typically little short of double in size, conflated by normally irrelevant packages. Is there good reason why this is so?
Probably because 32bit packages can run on 64bit machines, but 64bit packages can not run on 32bit machines.
That would explain the listing of the 32bit packages on the 64bit machine, but NOT the missing noarch packages on the 32bit machines. IMHO it would be nice to be able to supress the 32bit packages on the 64bit machines, but that is a feature request for the zypp devs. (cmd option and/or config-file option, e.g. host-arch-only, which still has to show noarch all the time and the *-32 packages for 64bit host) - Yamaban. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
