I just installed a new system Intel core 2 dual E7200, 1066MHZ 4GB memory and with nvidia 8400GS. When I run glxgears -info, I get the following:
GL_MAX_VIEWPORT_DIMS=8192/8192 GL_RENDERER = GeForce 8400 GS/PCI/SSE2 GL_VERSION = 2.1.2 NVIDIA 173.14.12 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
yes, you are running the proprietary NVidia driver, not "nv" as I stated. I still don't belive that glx is available with "nv" driver.
Note above error when I close it. Can anyone tell me if this should be reported and to which product?
sorry, cannot help you here. If you want to prove/disprove the glx statement I made, run "switchtonv" and restart x. Then try to run glxinfo or glxgears. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
