You want to create Japanese locale optimized Live CD/DVD images based on openSUSE official distribution and _distribute_ them, right? But as you already know, according to Trademark guideline, you 'may distribute openSUSE with modifications. (...) In making such a distribution, you must remove all trademark uses of the openSUSE Marks from the version of openSUSE you are modifying.' http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Trademark_guidelines#Distributing_openSUSE_W... Then, what is your primary question here, actually? Reading the first post of this thread, I guess you want to distribute your modified images as the *official* openSUSE products (for example, under the name of "openSUSE Japanese Remix" or so) so that you can distribute them without removing openSUSE marks, and asked how you can get permission for that. The answer for this is already given by Bryen. ;-) # By the way, have you already read 'SDB:Making an openSUSE based # distribution'? # http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Making_an_openSUSE_based_distribution # # Although the article is for 11.3, you may take some cues. Meanwhile, you asked the way to change or replace some config files in your modified images in your second post. If you are going to use SUSE Studio for this purpose, "SUSE Studio howtos" might be a good starting point. http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:SUSE_Studio_howtos And if you have some more questions on SUSE Studio, SUSE Studio Users may be a good place to ask them. http://susestudio.com/forum/ Or, gurus in SUSE Forum may help you. http://forums.suse.com/forumdisplay.php?43-SUSE-Studio Anyway, -factory is the list for discussing development of the next release and not an appropriate place for these questions. ;-) Best, -- _/_/ Satoru Matsumoto - openSUSE Member - Japan _/_/ _/_/ Marketing/Weekly News/openFATE Screening Team _/_/ _/_/ mail: helios_reds_at_gmx.net / irc: HeliosReds _/_/ _/_/ http://blog.zaq.ne.jp/opensuse/ _/_/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
