CPU is at < 1% most of the time. I noticed that during the first reboot after the update baloo was quite active indexing files. It was the reason I left it on during the night. No activitity any more now.
xsession-errors doesn't seem to contain a lot of errors AFAICS
@ian:
New user has the same problem (hangs). No kded5 errors in the journal if I log in as this new user.
Oh damn, it was just an idea. I had an issue with login, similar to yours but not as terminal, earlier this year when it was getting to 85% extremely quickly then taking about 30 seconds to do the last 15%. I couldn't find any issues in the logs either. It looks as if some programs aren't perhaps logging as well as they should. One day it just went away and now it works fast all the way to the desktop.

Last night I updated KDE from 5.3 to 5.4 on my 64-bit Tumbleweed system. After restarting the KDE workspace now hangs at startup with the progress indicator at about 90%.
In the systemd journal I noticed this kde5 entry, but I don't know if it is related to the hang: QT: Session management error: networkIdsList argument is NULL
Anyone know what is going on?
Thanks in advance.

Have you tried creating a new user via Yast (via cli) and see if the new user has the same issue? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
