That sounds like the network connection is working, but you don't have a default route set (check this with "ip route" or "route"), or (assuming you access your router and printer by IP) you don't have working nameservers configured (check /etc/resolv.conf and try to ping an IP like 8.8.8.8). If you give a more specific description of "no internet connection", it's probably easier to find out what's really wrong.
